Simply stated, WebDI allows you to conduct business with your existing trading partners (customers, suppliers, other divisions of your company) for less cost than you're likely doing it today. WebDI automates manual processes (like endless document re-keying) and eliminates the mounds of paper you receive and send. And because you can start using WebDI without having to download or install new software, you don't have to hire a whole new staff of IT specialists to reap the benefits.

With WebDI, you and any trading partner that has Internet access can exchange traditional business documents like:

  • Purchase orders
  • Invoices
  • Acknowledgments
  • Quotes

You can also exchange business information like:

  • Forecasts
  • Price lists
  • Inventory levels
  • Warranty information

And all of these documents can flow into and out of your existing back-office system, as well as the systems of your trading partners.

WebDI Translation

WebDI accepts information in practically any format, translates that information to whatever format you and your trading partners specify - then delivers that information right where you need it. You can exchange electronic information with business partners who use traditional VAN-based EDI, ASCII, newer protocols like Microsoft Biztalk and cXML, proprietary formats like SAP's IDOC and Baan's BEF - you name it. WebDI bridges the gap between different systems, formats, and protocols.

Select The Option That Fits Your Business

Depending on the level of automation you desire, you can use forms-based WebDI (referred to eForms), or you can integrate WebDI directly with your back-office system (and the systems of your trading partners). Click on each option to get a bit more detail about it.
