eValidate
WebDI’s eValidate is a
state-of-the-art technology that enables you to filter incoming electronic
transactions from your trading partners.
Only
inbound transactions with correct data will reach your back-office system for
processing. All other transactions will
be stopped in the eValidate module and the originating supplier will receive a
notification that the transaction failed the validation process and the reason
for the failure.
How
eValidate Works
In
accordance with your business rules, dynamic data from your back-office system
is used to create validation tables in WebDI.
The validation tables can be updated as often
as necessary to ensure the validation data is always current.
Before an inbound transaction is delivered to your
back-office system from WebDI, specified fields in the transaction are checked
against information contained in the validation tables. If a transaction fails eValidate, then WebDI
sends a detailed explanation to the sending trading partner (and to you, if you
specify) so that they can take corrective action. If a transaction passes eValidate, it is sent to your back-office
system for processing.
What is
Required to Begin?
In order to get eValidate up and running, you simply need to
provide the following information:
1. What data fields should be validated?
2. How will validation data be sent from your back-office system
to eValidate and how often?
3. The format definition of the validation data sent from your
back-office system to eValidate.
4. How many eValidate user accounts will be required?
